Lisa's 1920s Tudor Revival home, perched on South Hill in Bellingham, Washington, boasts stunning bay views and was the focus of this remodeling project. Our aim was to refresh the Tudor aesthetic, brighten the interior, and improve the flow of spaces. We painted the trim in the main areas a soft putty grey, complemented by crisp white walls, while the stair hall trim received a striking black finish. The living room was updated by removing disproportionate bookshelves and an oversized fireplace, replacing it with a sleek, stucco Tudor-inspired surround.

We enhanced connectivity between rooms, notably with a large archway linking the living room and dining room, and introduced dark gray paneling in the TV room for added depth. The kitchen remodel was budget-conscious, revealing original fir floors hidden under linoleum, removing upper cabinets in favor of open shelving, and revitalizing existing cabinets with black paint. The home now features a rich tapestry of old New England gems and a blend of vintage and contemporary pieces, creating a space that feels both timeless and inviting.
