North forest

This classic Tudor home was a diamond in the rough when our clients acquired it. It had all of its original charm intact: classic oak paneling, leaded glass windows and 1920's detailing throughout. Committed to preserving the home's historic charm, we set out on a thoughtful restoration, modernizing the infrastructure to accommodate contemporary family life. The renovation included a complete overhaul of the bathrooms and kitchen, with a keen focus on integrating original design elements, like a leaded glass transom connecting the breakfast room and kitchen, and custom cabinets in the kitchen designed to echo the original library paneling. Windows were carefully restored to their former glory, and the home's original lighting was rewired and reinstated.

In furnishing the home, we opted for a blend of classic and modern, pairing traditional pieces with contemporary art and forms. A recurring theme of black and white throughout the house set the stage, complemented by a palette of grays and blues, warm woods, and vintage rugs and textiles, creating a harmonious balance that pays homage to the home's rich history while embracing modern living.
