About Tami Hickman

Raised on a small hobby farm in Spokane, Washington, Tami's early life was filled with sewing, craft projects, and constant experimentation with room layouts, hinting at her future career in design. Her journey from a young 4-H member with a penchant for rearranging her room to a respected professional in interior design underscores a career built on passion, creativity, and a lifelong dedication to the art and science of making spaces beautiful and functional.

Tami is a graduate of Cornish College of the Arts with a BFA in Interior Design and began her journey into the interior design industry after exploring various roles in the field - retail sales, wholesale sales, project management, and being a showroom manager at the Seattle Design Center.

In 2005, Tami teamed up with Lisa, a partnership that would evolve into a long-standing collaboration. Together, they have honed a working dynamic that plays to each other's strengths, allowing Tami to focus on the technical and functional aspects of design that she excels in, particularly space planning and room flow.   Her passion for drafting has become her trademark, with her perspective drawings widely praised for their ability to vividly convey design concepts and serve as the foundational layer for aesthetic elements.

Tami finds inspiration in problem-solving, believing that her work contributes to enhancing people's lives by creating spaces that are not only functional but warm and inviting. Beyond her professional life, Tami enjoys traveling with her husband, with a memorable five-week trip to Australia topping her list of favorite vacations. She’s an avid cat lover with a plethora of hobbies including reading, needle crafts, and annually expanding a meticulously detailed Lego village complete with lighting and a working train.
