About LIsa Staton

Lisa's design sensibility is deeply influenced by her upbringing in Boston, a city rich in history and architectural diversity. Surrounded by the iconic back bay brownstones, colonial saltboxes, and coastal gilded age mansions, she developed an appreciation for historic architecture and that aesthetic permeates her work. This New England heritage, coupled with her professional experiences, forms the cornerstone of Lisa Staton's approach to creating spaces that are both historically resonant and uniquely personal.

After transitioning from Public Relations and the Auction Gallery scene in New York and Boston, Lisa embraced Interior Design in her mid-20s, building on her art history and architectural studies undergraduate degree.  She took a traditional approach to her design career, gaining invaluable experience through apprenticeships and career progression in esteemed firms. To further enhance her skills, Lisa studied at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).  A move to the Pacific Northwest in 2004 due to her husband's career, motivated Lisato  launch  her own design firm.

For Lisa, interior design transcends the mere visual; it is the art of collaboration with a diverse "village" of talents that fuels her creativity. She finds joy in marrying her vision with the skills of many to create bespoke interiors and construction projects. Her inspiration stems from a myriad of sources, notably her affinity for antique stores, which allows her to curate unique visions for her clients, unfettered by the common paths tread by digital algorithms. Moreover, travel and exploration serve as a constant fountain of creativity, enabling her to bring a world of inspiration into her projects.

When not transforming spaces, Lisa indulges in the simple pleasures of life. Her hobbies reflect her professional passions—antiquing, gardening, embarking on long walks in the historic neighborhood she lives in, and experimenting in the kitchen. These activities not only serve as a source of relaxation but also as a means of inspiration for her work.
