About Lauren Galeotti
Having been actively involved in her family's home renovation projects from a young age, Lauren's transition to a professional designer felt like a natural progression. Lauren's artistic path has been rich and diverse since she graduated from Cornish College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture in 2014. Her career has been a dynamic journey with a broad spectrum of design projects ranging from storefront collaborations with small businesses to furniture and product design, custom upholstery, and curating collections for home stores. In 2016, she met her future husband, leading to a move to Orcas Island a year later. This change of scenery brought new opportunities, ultimately guiding her to her current position with Lisa Staton Design.
Lauren draws her main inspiration from lesser-known European architectural movements spanning the 1800s to the early 1900s, alongside the natural world's forms, textures, and hues. Her work is also deeply influenced by antique jewelry, textiles, and lighting. Lauren's approach to inspiration is holistic, looking beyond the interior design industry to the architectural foundation of a space and the craftsmanship it embodies. Growing up in Seattle, she felt a disconnect with the city's estrangement with its historical roots, fueling her passion to highlight the importance of preserving the past while innovating for the future through her designs.
Today, she is the go-to source for design advice among her family members. Outside of her professional life, Lauren finds joy and relaxation in gardening, and cherishing time spent at the park or beach with her family, embodying her belief in the profound impact of well-designed spaces on personal well-being and happiness.
