remodeled sitting area with designer furniture and rug

Edgemoor

Situated on Bellingham Bay, this project was a full ground up build with McClellan Architects and Emerald Builders.  While the home is decidedly modern in form, the client tasked us with layering in softer more European influences for the interior finishes and detailing.  We started by introducing wide plank oak floors and herringbone graphite limestone, paired with marble to offset but compliment the walnut details and black accents throughout. Originally from Sweden, the client had a lovely collection of antiques including Baccarat chandeliers (incorporated into the master bedroom and guest bath), Swedish clock, and case pieces. From there for interior furnishings we choose a combination of vintage, new, and custom. With a color palette of cream, warm cinnamon, and olive green we sought to layer textures, and silhouettes with the furnishings to create a warm, modern and elegant home.
